thoughts on changing up my blog...

Wow!!

Who has two thumbs and is one of the worst blog updaters in the history of blogger??

[^^^this chick^^^]

I don't post much, because not a lot in my life changes, so I don't really feel like there is much to write about... I could tell you about my job at the paint store, or how I wish the weather outside was warm enough so I could ride the motorcycle, but really... How often do you want to read about silly stuff like that? I don't have kids, so I can't write about them, and I can't post much about the hubby, cause that bugs him... And then there is the issue of the times I WANT to post something here, but as soon as I sit down to type, BAM!!!! Instant writers block and I wonder what the point of this silly thing is anyways...

So I started thinking about it, and had a lightbulb-moment...

What's something I've been obsessed with for the last few weeks?

NAIL POLISH

And that gave me the idea to change this blog into a sort of nail polish blog... I know, I know, I'm late to the party. There are a LOT of other blogs like that out there (and some of them are really awesome, I might add)... But I figure 'What the Heck?' Why not throw my hat in the ring? Maybe it make me feel like I have something to contribute to the blogging world... And then maybe I'll post more often than twice a year. HA!!!

Anyway, what do you think? I'm not a professional, by any means, but hey! It could be kinda fun, right?? I'm learning lots about nail care and am finding inspiration for lots of really cool techniques that I can share with everyone... :)

Ahh, hell... I guess as long as it gets me posting, then why not?

this is not a get-to-know-me. let's move on!

Okay, so, let's not talk about getting-to-know-me posts or how I only made it 11 days in... Let's start fresh!! There's bound to be some exciting news in my life here some where!!
...

I'm actually trying to think really hard...

Ooh, i dyed my hair about a week or two ago. I think it turned out awesome!

Kind of a junky photo, but here's how the color turned out. It was supposed to be black and bright red like I've dyed it in the past, but some thing happened with the bleach and the red didn't take properly. Oh well though!!! I think it turned out great!

Things lately have been really busy... Everyday it's something else. We have been doing lots and lots of motorcycling lately. And let me tell you, that is one of my favorite things to do!! It's a lot better now too since I bought a vented jacket. Makes riding in 80+ degree weather much more enjoyable!

So what is new with you guys? I know I haven't posted in forever, but that doesn't mean I haven't missed my lovely readers! Lol.

Drop a line, will ya?

Day 10 - oh my gosh, double digit days!!

Now how was THAT for some alliteration?! I know, I know... I'm pretty cool. *wink*

Anyways, enough gloating. It's time for today's post!! Today I get to tell you all about the music I like. Are you ready for this?

So, I listen to lots of music. It's gonna be hard to narrow this down into one song for each of these emotions, but let's see what we come up with!!

When I'm happy, I like to listen to the album Stand Up by Dave Matthews Band. Okay, okay, so DMB might not be the most amazing band ever, but I happen to think they're pretty cool. I also enjoy chilling out and listening to anything ranging from Nine Inch Nails to Iron & Wine with maybe a dash of Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and a side of Death Cab For Cutie. I'll listen to just about anything when I'm happy.

Example of a Happy song for me: Smooth Rider by Dave Matthews Band.
*-*

Ahh, and when I'm sad, naturally, the music gets to feeling a little heavier and slower... I've found that when I'm really down, I listen to a lot more Dido... Something about her voice and the messages in her songs just really connect with me. Except a lot of her lyrics remind me of darker days and tend to make me more and more sad... It's weird. I also listen to Alanis Morissette's album Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie when I'm sad... I don't know why, but some how it always helps me to feel a bit better, even though that album is pretty dark.

Example of a Sad song for me: That I Would Be Good by Alanis Morissette
*-*

You know, when I'm bored, I will listen to just about anything. Really. Except for most country and some rap. How is that for a generic answer? Haha!
*-*

And when I'm hyped? When I'm hyped I listen to fast paced stuff! Sometimes. Ha! Gimme some Paramore or some Puscifer! Or even a little bit of Rihanna. Or how about some Clutch? My tastes are all over the place.

Example of a Hyped song for me: Misery Business by Paramore
*-*

Hmm... The last one is a good one. The music I listen to when I'm mad. Really, just about anything. We're talking Tool, Alanis, ooh, Nine Inch Nails, Porcelain and the Tramps, Deftones, Chevelle... The list goes on and on!! It really kinda depends on what kind of mad I am. Does that make sense? :)

Example of a Mad song for me: Terrible Lie or You Know What You Are? by Nine Inch Nails.

Well, that was a fun post! Stay tuned for more! :)

Day 9 - only a little late...

Well, I'm not quite sure what to write about in this post. It's supposed to be about something I am proud of myself for.

Honestly, I can't think of anything I'm really proud of from the last few days. I did however cook a really awesome dinner tonight. It wasn't anything special, just some potatoes with red onions and bacon stuffs... There are only a few dishes I think I am really good at making, and this is one of them. Hubby complimented me saying he thought it was the best batch I've ever made!! So that is a bonus.

Anyway. it might sound weird. but putting potatoes and onions together and cooking them up till the onions are niiiice and sweet is the bomb. Seriously. It is the only way I can get myself to eat onions. I can't stand them any other way.

Also, I guess I'm a little proud at how I've been keeping this whole 30 blogging challenge thing. Today's post should have been up a few days ago, but all my other posts have been right on time!!

I guess I'm cooler than I thought. :)

Thanks for reading!

Day 8: and not a moment too late! :)

Damn, I am getting good at this catchy title thing... Ya feel me? :)

Okay, to be honest, I don't know what to write this post about... Today I get to explain my short term goals for this month and why...

Do I even have goals? What the heck is a goal? Okay, so I know what a goal is, but I've never been very good at setting them. It's kind of like the whole keeping up with hobbies thing. It's just something I don't do.

There is one thing I can think of though. Lately I am a little obsessed over this thing. And I shouldn't be, but I am. Probably because it's so damn pretty... Do you want to know what I'm talking about?

IT'S THIS!!!

My goal this month is to save enough money so I can by a bag online that looks just like this one. I seriously am in love with it. And the little circle thingy in the top right side of the picture? Yah, that's what the inside looks like.

Gahh!! I could die. I really want this bag. :) It's a little more money than I'd like to spend, but I'd be getting it for a killer deal, so it's pretty well worth it.

Yep. I decided. That, my friends, is my goal for this month: to make this bag MINE!! :)

Love ya guys!

Day 7: wow, we're a whole week in!

Any one else notice how many W's there are in my blog title? There are five. That seems like a lot of W's to me!

Also, any one else notice how I have made it a whole week with this blogging thing? I know, I am a little shocked too. But I am having fun with this!! I'm glad I'm doing it. And I hope you are learning things along the way here. :)

I like the idea behind this post. For Day 7, I get to include a picture of someone/something that has the biggest impact on me. I'll bet you'll never guess who/what it is!!

Yep. My hubby. Out of everyone in my life, he has the biggest impact on me. He has been with me through thick and thin. He does his best for us and works hard everyday so we can have a roof over our heads and bikes to play on during the weekends. :) More than anything, he makes me a better person and I am lucky to have him for a best friend and a husband. I know, I know... This post has gotten all mushy and such. But I mean it when I say I don't know where I would be without him. He has made me happier than I ever thought possible.

[this is teeny tiny us back when we had just started dating in high school.]

[paintballing was one of his favorite things to do for a long time.]

[and us again. this is one of my favorite pictures of us.]

Cole, you might not ever see this (on account of I set my blog to private like you asked. *smile*), but I love you and I hope you don't ever forget it!! :) Thank you for being my best friend; at times, my only friend! Thank you for being the only thing that has really felt constant in my life. And thank you for all the love you give to me. You are the greatest!!

Day 6: and this blog is getting SICK! ok, maybe not actually. :)

Yay! Show of hands, let's see how many people are excited to see me blogging for real!! Oh, it's just you guys. Well, that's better than no one!! :) Thank you for reading!

Anyway, today is Day 6 of this blogging extravaganza and there are no signs of it stopping (at least until day 30)!! By the end of this roller coaster, you will know things about me you probably never even wanted to know. But that is part of the fun, right? :)

My friends, today you get to learn about my favorite super hero and why they are my favorite... Honestly, I don't know that I really have a fav-o-rite super hero. I never really got into them. Is that weird? But I guess if I had to pick one, I would say Spider Man. Yah, I think he is pretty cool... Well, except for the whole affiliation with spiders. I don't like spiders. They are icky.
I KILL SPIDERS!! But not Spider Man. Any one else confused? Good.

Spider Man, to me, seems like a pretty neat guy. Plus, if you ask me, he's really cute. :) Do you know what else I think is really cute? SpiderSackBoyMan. Yes. :)
Isn't he adorable?! And he's even on graph paper. How cool is that? It's like, three of my favorite things all at once!! LittleBigPlanet, Spider Man and Graph Paper. Could this post get ANY better?!

I submit to you that it cannot! So I'd better stop while I'm ahead. Sorry this post is kind of all over the place. I got excited. Graph paper does that to me. Haha.

Promise tomorrow's post will be better.

Thanks again for reading. :)
